"Every wall is a door." -- Ralph Waldo Emerson
In this case, it is a virtual door.
I cannot remember a time when I was not crafting characters and stories in my head. In college, I was encouraged to take my creative writing from novel to screenwriting. Instantly I was hooked. Now I am taking it seriously and jumping out into the dog-eat-dog world (not so much different than media relations for a PR manager).
Screenwriting has strenthened my public relations writing skills. Please visit Communicators Anonymous. My blog is a conversation between myself and people about the state of the mass/communications industry. I am still a newbie in the public relations industry, but not looking through rose colored glasses wishing to work for a top-ten PR firm. I am still green with the optimism that I can make a difference for the betterment of the industry I have chosen, go against the norm and blaze a trail for those with talents and dreams of becoming a communications practitioner.
The seedy side of law dissuaded me from continuing my law degree and I left after only a year and a half. Now the dark side is permeating my love for communication. The money I dropped into the private school only provided me with the knowledge of how to divorce my starter husband!
As an Air Force Military Brat, I have lived and traveled all over the world. Now I am ready to conquer the world.
3 screenplays ready to pitch for Expo 2007...then I will go from there.
