Interests
Since my retirement from education, I have relocated to Mexico, where my wife and I have a comfortable home with none of the bother of the States. I fish, teach English ONLINE to students from all around the world through www.worldclasstutor.com , and I write.
Books
I am currently reading the Dark Material of Pullman. I enjoy the work of Dan Brown very much. My favorite series is THE AUSTRALIANS, an oldy, but still a great read.
Movies
I just saw the new Indiana Jones film, after waiting for a year. What a disappointment. NANY MCFEE is the best work I've seen lately. As for classics, I'm stuck on CASABLANCA.
Television
In Mexico, I have the opportunity to see whole seasons of TV shows in a few weeks. I see nothing new or particularly interesting, with the following exceptions: WOMENS MURDER CLUB and DEXTER. These two shows have something, some edge, that make them interesting. I truly miss game shows. They don't work well in translation, so they don't broadcast them here. I sometimes jones for LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN and CRAIG FERGISON.
About Me
I have been active in theater for several years, appearing in many musicals and dramatic plays at the Community Theater level. I have been an extra in several films in the NYC area. I recently had HADLEY'S CAFE published in a collection of short stories. And, I have a short screenplay, ONE DAY IN FEBURARY, in final edit for submission to contests this fall. I keep the lights on by doing freelance work through www.elance.com. I'm always available.
Goal
Although I would very much like to produce a makable product, I enjoy the process of creation. I will be published one day.
