I love movies, fringe theatre, and read too many bad novels.
Books
My favourite books include number9dream, Cloud Atlas, Ghostwritten, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Swann's Landing, Count of Monte Cristo, and a good portion of Philip K Dick's work.
Movies
My favourite films include Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Blade Runner, Alien, Adaptation, 'Beat' Takeshi's Kikujiro and Brother, and the Ginger Snaps series. As well as A Scanner Darkly, Akira, Waltz with Bashir, and much of Hayao Miyazaki's anime.
Television
My top-rated shows include The Wire, Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the BBC series Apparitions and The Sarah Jane Adventures.
About Me
I am a UK-based journalist, looking to make screenwriting a career. I've written stories as far back as I can remember, but have decided to make being a professional screenwriter a priority. I've recently finished a spec script for a one-hour action/thriller TV series, and I'm currently finishing a radio play, and working on script for a supernatural thriller.
Prior to this I wrote comics and graphic novels, and was the script editor for other comic creators.
I have a degree in Media Production, which covered magazine journalism and filmmaking, and I'm looking to starting a Masters degree in screenwriting soon.
Goal
My aim is to work full-time as a screenwriter working in TV and film. I would like to be a producer/showrunner in order to get my own creations made.
