Dare to dream!
Although I've published a non-fiction book on Eastern European arts, identity and everyday life, FRAGMENTED IDENTITIES (Lexington Books/Rowman & Littlefield, 2003, 2007 -- signed Denise Roman), I have also written a fantasy novel for children, MARIA DRACULA, and a surrealist/absurdist play about an idiosyncratic family of Jewish emigres to America, VOYAGE TO THE MOON. And I always write poetry. I took clases in poetry, play writing, and fiction in the UCLA Writers' Program with Suzanne Lummis, Leon Martell, and Simon Levy.
