Interests

My goal here is to visit every major archeological site in Peru. Many puzzled looks I can imagine, but it has been determined that South America was not populated by natives crossing over from the Bering Strait, but rather from the sea. There is evidence of human activity in Peru at around the same time of the crossing.

Peru is a great place to explore and especially easy if your wife is from there. So far the most inspirational place I have been in Peru, is Caral, the oldest city in the Americas. The Chavin de Huantar is a close second and lived up to Josh Bernstiens show "Digging for the Truth." The worst I ever felt was on the donkey ride up to Pastarouri, one of the glacier covered mountains in the Cordellia Blanca of the Andes, I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

We just returned from Peru in September where we helped some of my wife's family who lost everything due to the recent earthquakes.

Next year we plan to go to Trujillo, Peru and visit Chan-Chan, the largest adobe city in the Americas, visit the tomb of Senor de Saipan, the King Tut of the Americas.

Interests also include, Photography, reading, and my wife's cooking!

Books

Currently I am reading "Voices from Chernobyl", really haunting.
Anything by Robert Jordan, W.E.B. Griffin, Robin Hobb, and L.E. Modesitt jr., will find their way into my reading time.

Movies

My favorite is of course is Lord of the Rings. Anything Clint Eastwood does is always on my list. However, I would be remiss to say didn't love the "Good German" (a disclaimer- both my brother and uncle worked on "The Good German", so I have to say I like it!) Also, I have to say I like "Spiderman 3" and "Ocean's Thirteen" because my brother worked on the set as well (just in case my brother reads this.)

Television

I have been watching religiously the Robin Hood series from BBC, it is playing on BBC America, which is what I get. I am in a sad mood since "The Shield" has one episode left, however "Rescue Me" is coming.

About Me

Born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, with the salt water of the Chesapeake Bay and Old Bay Seasoning flowing through my veins. I have lived in West Virginia and I graduated from High School in North Carolina. I have worked for Wal-Mart for over 14 years at various positions, in various locations.

My wife is from Peru, which was a personal decision to not marry anyone from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, since my roots trace some four hundred years here. She is also an artist and a chef.

I have been writing stories seriously for about ten years. My uncle and brother, are both in the film industry. They convinced me to investigate Writer's Boot Camp and my life has never been the same. I now plan, as W.E.B. Griffin's bio states, " To continue writing until they nail my coffin shut."

Goal

I have finished my first screenplay "The Sword of Angels". I am currently working on my second screenplay with my brother called "The Oracle of Pachacamac". I am also working on some ideas for a novel.

Hey man, your only hours away from being in LA, and a sit down dinner at Johnny Rockets where you can top off a super-sized Milkshake of your choice, hahah... Have a great flight, I'll see when you get here!

Muir,

I'm glad Jon directed me to this website. Seems to be a great resource. Good to hear you are keeping busy writing. So, I hear you are also are taking a course with Writer's Bootcamp. Jon has spoken highly of it. I have considered it myself, just to flesh out my current feature. What have you found most useful from taking the course so far?

Muir, if I was a columnist for the Daily Times, I would have written an article for Sunday's paper, with a headline stating "THE EASTER BUNNY SCREENWRITER". HAHAH!... Have great weekend with your writing, talk to you soon brother - Jonathan
