Secrets of Screenplay Structure
Linda Cowgill is a screen and television writer who heads the screenwriting department at the Los Angeles Film School. She's taught courses at Loyola Marymount, The AFI and the Boston Film Institute, as well as at the Screenwriting Expo. Her feature film, 'Opposing Force,' was released by Orion Pictures in 1986. She has written for such shows as 'Quincy,' 'The Young Riders' and 'Life Goes On,' for which her 'Call of the Wild' episode won a Genesis Award. She received her MFA from UCLA where her student film 'Froggy Went A'Courtin'' won a Jim Morrison Award for best short film. Ms. Cowgill is the author of the popular film school textbook 'Writing Short Films' and 'Secrets of Screenplay Structure.' In 2007, her book The Art Of Plotting will make its debut.
