Interests
I like to spend as much time as I can with my 2 kids. Work keeps me away from them far longer than I would like. I enjoy watching all kinds of movies, except horror. I also like to free write, but it seems like I never have the time lately.
Books
My favorite books are "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", anything by Douglas Adams and I've recently started reading the Harry Potter books for the first time.
Movies
Again, all kinds except horror. My favorites are "Grosse Pointe Blank", "Almost Famous" and all 3 Bourne movies.
Television
I haven't had time to watch TV in the last few years, but I used to like West Wing and ER. Frazier was a good one too.
About Me
I moved to Los Angeles 4 years ago to see what I could get myself in to in the entertainment industry. I worked for 8 years in Cincinnati at the Warner Brothers affiliate WB64, beginning as a Master Control Air Op. I moved up to Videographer for a couple of years and then Commercial Writer / Producer for the last 4 years that I was there. I figured when I moved to LA that that kind of experience would easily get me a job. No such luck. It took me a year and a half to finally get into the "industry" and that was only because I knew the right person from the coffee shop. I think LA is the craziest place I've ever lived. Right now I can't see myself living anywhere else.
Goal
Short term, my goal is to move from Associate Producer in to a Producer role and work for a few years building a solid body of work in DVD special features.
Long term, I want to Direct and Produce features and television for about 20 or 30 years.
