About Me

Me...ok...my pen is Isharra Jamari and Icompleted the task of joining my favorite short story authors of the past and present with a collection entitled "Stuff Like Dhatt" which is available now at many stores in your area as well as the internet!

A native Chicagoan, for the past twenty five years ,I had come to call Silver Spring, Maryland my home but recently relocated back to Illinois, to a small village of Oakbrook Terrace where I begans my empty nest journey.

A single parent of three now adult children and Grandmom to four, I now have the time to do what I have always known was my destiny...to write. My major influences for my writing and my first book a collection of short stories, was undoubtly J. California Cooper and O. Henry.

Goal

To begin my first serious non-fiction writing...a biography about a famous relative. My great, great, great Cousin (uncle to us), Tommy Brookins.
