Screenwriter, Professor of Screenwriting at Niagara College
I'm a pretty busy guy these days. Along with teaching the courses at college and working on my own screenplays, I write freelance for SLAM! Wrestling (most notably heading the SLAM! Wrestling Movie Database, which exists to document the shared history of wrestling and Hollywood); I have been taking several distance education courses over the past couple of years (studying English, History, Psychology and Astronomy) - and I'm trying to keep my kids from growing up so fast!
Favourite Film: The Empire Strikes Back
Favourite Screenplay: Casablanca
I live near Niagara Falls, so now and then I drive by the spot in the river where Lois Lane jumped in to test Clark Kent...
What you probably really want to know, though, is this:
Relevant Experience:
August 2007
Jim Kiriakakis of Buck Productions purchased my short screenplay comedy “Super Hero Semantics”, and production is slated for August 2008.
April 2005
I was contracted to adapt “Day Six”, a stage-play, into a feature-length drama for Martin Doyle – an established actor and first-time producer.
January 2005
One of my feature-length comedy screenplays went into development with Peter Young at Don Buchwald & Associates.
October 2002
I signed an option with Paco Alvarez of Cinemavault Inc. on a feature-length comedy.
My goals are to continue developing my screenwriting course and attract students from around the world through the on-line version. I am seeking representation to assist in finding producers to match my original material, and I am also always interested in jobs of adaptation or developing someone's ideas into a screenplay.
