Hi Friends

This is something different. You may not know this but I started out as an actor and a singer and I sang last year at The Gardenia in Hollywood,The Songs That Got Away. Starting out as an actor has given me a different perspective towards my day job as a producer and a writer - I approach everything from that angle.

I LIKED IT, DIDN'T LOVE IT (SCREENPLAY DEVELOPMENT FROM THE INSIDE OUT)

"...if your script is ready to be shown, consider making this the next book you pick up.It may well be the thing that gives you that keen inside edge over the other writers who just pitched before you."
-- Peter Clines, Creative Screenwriting magazine

Journalist - The Beachwood Voice - column- Our Side Of Town- also the blog www.oursideoftown.wordpress.comJournalist - Contributing writer to Produced By magazine - the official magazine of the Producers Guild of America

And here's what people are saying about ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE:

"Thanks for putting on such a great class...Been growing by huge leaps...Because of your class, I'm holding a ticket to Cannes in my hands"
--Troy Perry (Maneuvering Film Festival Student, April 2007)

"Last year, I produced a short film that was rejected from every festival I entered. When I saw a free seminar at the Writer's Store on "Maneuvering Film Festivals," I hoped it would give me an edge to at least get accepted to a festival. I learned more in that hour seminar from Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis than I ever imagined! I signed up for their ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE course and bought their book, "I liked It, Didn't Love It (Screenplay Development From The Inside Out)." What a wealth of information! I followed their suggestions and got into 8 festivals, with 4 awards and recognitions. At one of the festivals, I met a producer who asked for a feature length version of my short."
--Diana Niles (Maneuvering Film Festivals Student, April 2007)

"I learned a lot and I think all that I have learned will help my career. The class was excellent"
--Danielle Dillard (Creating a Production Company Student, March 2008)

"The best thing about Rona and Monika's "Creating a Production Company" class was its emphasis on the practical. They didn't simply lecture about what we ought to do in order to create a company and put its best foot forward--they obliged us to actually DO it, step by step. Each week's homework assignment was harder than the one before it, but in a good way--by the end of the class I had lists of real people to contact at real studios, precisely targeted to real projects I'm really working on. And all without ever leaving my desk at home (or changing out of my pajamas, for that matter:)"

Goal

"I have so many goals. To start, I want to create and make movies that have something to say and yet are entertaining. My goal is to make successful movies so I can continue to be a producer and a writer.

I want to impart the knowledge and experience I have to the students we teach and hope that we can help them avoid some of the pitfalls we've gone through and nurture them along in their successful careers.

I'd like to travel the world to lecture and meet new people in my common field of film and television. To create a global village through our ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE where students and professionals can come to exchange views, learn and create and do so at their own pace. It is our goal to create a worldwide network of filmmakers, to teach what we know, create more courses molded to the needs of our clients and students, and be known as the "go to" place for workshops and networking. It's a place where people can improve their filmmaking knowledge in 2 - 4 weeks. Just Click, Type, Download & Read - that's all there is to it plus you get Monika Skerbelis and myself on a daily basis like mentors for the length of the course."
