Earl Grey tea for me. Then I'm ready to write.
I love nothing more than spending a few days in the French Quarter, New Orleans, at the Cafe du Monde for chicory cafe au lait and Beignets. It seems those days are too few and far between. A day at the beach with a good novel lifts my spirit any 'ole day. Several hours perusing classic art in a museum excites my neurons.
Anything by Greg Isles, Stephen E. Ambrose, R.A. Salvatore, the works of Edgar Allan Poe (my personal favorite author).
Good lord. I have too many favorites. To name a few, I'd have to say Saving Private Ryan, Magical Mystery Tour (The Beatles), A Hard Days Night (Again, The Beatles), Anything by John Hughes, Quentin Tarantino, Julie Taymor, Rober McGowan's "Little Rascals" episodes, Mike Nichols films, and anything by Bob Clark.
Six Feet Under was a great HBO series. Gotta say it was my fave. I still enjoy Twilight Zone re-runs. For some reason I never get tired of them.
To share my knowledge with the creative thought industry in the screenwriter's arena. I hope my input will help others. I also hope to pick up on a few new tips here and there, myself. Because this field is a constantly evolving, and seemingly esoteric profession, it helps to keep each other in the know.
