About Me
Born and raised in Amish country in the heartland of Ohio, Cynthia attended Kent State University. After receiving her BA, she moved to Los Angeles. She started out working in physical production, PAing and serving as an Assistant Property Master.
For 10 years she worked for many different entertainment companies as a Script Coordinator and/or transcriber. These companies include Laura Ziskin, Red Wagon & TNT Originals, and on a vast number of features and TV projects including Charlotte's Web, The Matrix, Jerry Mcguire, School of Rock, Sleepy Hollow, Monster's Ball, Gia, and Six Feet Under pilot.
For the past 10 years she has been working for actor Bill Pullman as a personal assistant.
Her screenplay "The Fence" co-written with Kimberly Brinson was a semi-finalist for the Emerging Narrative award at IFP Market, and was a finalist for the Gordon Parks award at IFP Market.
"Honeymoon," a broad comedy feature script, has won a "Consider" from Creative Screenwriting Magazine, and placed as a quarterfinalist at the Screenwriting Expo 5 contest, and made it to the semifinal round at the Buffalo/Niagara Film Festival.
"Between," a supernatural horror script, placed in the semifinals at the ScriptShark Insider contest, as well as a quarterfinalist at Writers on the Storm 3.
"My Amish Summer" her newest screenplay is about to make the rounds.
Cynthia currently resides in Hollywood, California.
Goal
Right now, it's to secure representation.
