To create a world and see it come to life is the best.
Too numerous to mention.
I have lots of good books. I read a lot.
Every movie I see has at least one good thing working for it. I don't have a favorite though. I tend to dislike high concept movies with lots of flash and weak story lines.
This may sound hokey but I like the series "Friends." You have to watch the whole series though to see the progression of the characters. When viewed from beginning to end the character progression projects, at least it dies for me. I also like the "West Wing" series also. The characters did not stand out as much, but the story line was good as well as the pacing.
Now if we could just have the merging of the two...
Served in the military for almost 14 years. Started writing poetry when I was in the 5th grade and that progressed to short stories. I was an over-the-road truck driver for a while. My daughter used to give me topics to create stories I would read to her when I came home. I had a few that people said would make for a good movie so I started learning all I could about screenwriting.
Now working on attaining my MFA and taking courses that relate to screenwriting. I am also studying film editing from a recommendation from a working screenwriter. He told me that when one slows down you can go to the other.
It may not say it at the bottom of my profile, but I'm a member of the ASA. Matter of fact I better check my card I may have to pay my dues again.
As with most writers I would like to see one of my scripts be made into a feature. However, I stair case my goals and have fulfilled some of them. I wanted to write a script that people considered a good read, did that. Then I wanted to create a script that was good enough to be considered (option), did that. Next I wanted a script that got me working a project that is not my own. Then write the elusive "hit" followed by an Oscar node, followed by the Oscar. When all that is finished, do it all again.

I have done ghost writing but most of what I do is develope my own projects. I have a couple being contemplated by some companies, and I plan to send all my "finished" projects real soon.
Most of what I have done is on small indie projects.
