About Me

Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson co-wrote the Oscar(TM)/BAFTA/WGA nominated screenplay The Fighter, along with Scott Silver. Tamasy, who is also a producer on the film, was born in England and is a graduate of UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television. He is an active member of the DGA, WGA and SAG. Screenplay credits include Air Bud and its sequel (Part 10, filmed earlier this year), Walking Across Egypt, Last Ride, and The Dark. This year, Tamasy will make his directing debut on the thriller Depravity. Johnson, Executive Producer of The Fighter, grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating with a journalism degree from U.C. Berkeley. After working as a writer/editor for The Brazil Herald in Rio de Janeiro, he moved to Los Angeles where he developed film and television projects at Sony Studios, Paramount Pictures, Disney, Dreamworks, Universal, NBC, and CBS. After teaming up. Tamasy and Johnson sold their spec screenplay Toad Trip to Dreamworks. Most recently, their feature script Bullet was optioned by Berkeley Square Films in London, along with their script The Black Pearl, which they co-wrote with Star Wars' Mark Hamill - a film based on Hamill's comic book. Tamasy and Johnson are currently writing the comedy/drama Joe for Will Smith and Sony Pictures.
