All things Stephen King, all things Robert McCammon and Michael McDowell. I'll read almost any thing I can get my hands on: from the latest pulp novel to a medical journal. I love to read the story that a film I enjoy was adapted from, not only do I get to see how the story changed from page to screen; I get an idea of how it was done.
Movies
Dark, gritty dramas (i.e., Black Snake Moan, Monster's Ball, Million Dollar Baby, etc), anything Python, anything Brooks for comedy, good science fiction and epic fantasy.
Television
Cold Case, Without a Trace, Law & Order: SVU, Scrubs, My Name is Earl. I have yet (pat me on the back) to watch a reality show and with the remote always handy, I never will.

Kat Yares is a writer/screenwriter living in the backwoods of the Arkansas Ozarks. Published as an author of numerous short stories and a non-fiction writer of web content, her dream is to see her scripts transformed on the silver screen.
Goal
To get the stories out of my head and into the hearts and minds of others.
