Description

Get your 15 minutes of fame

Take A Meeting provides screenwriters with 15 minutes of an executive's undivided attention. Other pitch events get you 5 to 7 minutes of rushing in and out the door. You don't even get time to introduce yourself, much less get feedback on your idea.
With 15 minutes, you not only get the chance to introduce yourself and present your idea, you also have time to get valuable feedback from the producer on how to improve your idea and your script.

What screenwriters want is access. Until now, access for screenwriters just breaking into the business has been in the form of pitch fests. In the hectic, loud setting of a convention center, writers must grab a tired exec’s attention within a few minutes. Then they are hustled out of the room and the next batch comes through. The environment is hardly conducive to doing business.

Each Take A Meeting session is $99 for a full 15 minutes with the executive of your choice. Twenty execs are seated comfortably in a large ballroom. Each writer is introduced and allowed to “Take A Meeting” with the executive of his or her choice. Execs only hear three meetings an hour. There is time to develop story ideas, get feedback on your pitches and career path, and create a contact in the industry.

A few of the companies that typically participate are:

William Morris Agency
ICM
MTV
Silver Pictures
Evolution
Red Wagon Entertainment
Industry Entertainment
