Description

"Screenplay Development from the Inside Out" is a five-week online course (beginning July 22 - August 19) from ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE.

This workshop is for the writer, producer or director who has either written a screenplay, novel or short film or is ready to sell a project they have under option and is ready to submit their material to agents, production companies and studios. Based upon their critically acclaimed book, I Liked It, Didn't Love It (Screenplay Development From The Inside Out), students will learn about each of the players at studios, production companies and agencies. In addition to what happens to screenplays and material submitted to each studio and/or production company, students will gain hands on experience in writing loglines, queries, coverage, development notes as well as learning the importance of structure, researching companies, and studying the methods necessary to become successful writers, producers and directors. This class will also give students the tools necessary to start a producing or development career.

All ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE courses have one-on-one interface with Edwards and Skerbelis! Therefore, students have ongoing access to these two industry professionals for the length of the courses, which usually runs 4 to 6 weeks each.

"Screenplay Development from the Inside Out" will cover such topics as:

- The steps a screenplay or novel goes through when it is submitted to a studio or production company;
- What are the considerations readers and executives look for in screenplays;
- Why the logline is important for sparking interest;
- Writing coverage and development notes;
- How do agents and managers work;
- Importance of networking and how to do it.

The cost for this 5-week online course is $300. For more information, visit www.esentertainment.net
