In order to have success at finding and developing your ideas, you need to know how to look for them and then how to structure them on paper. This course will provide valuable tips and resources to help you organize and develop your ideas and get them out of your head and on paper. Knowing how to do this will also help writers, producers and filmmakers alike have a place from which to pitch their ideas and/or jump to the next step: writing the screenplay.
With their upcoming ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE course, students will work with articles, ads, newspapers and magazines, in order to find new ideas and develop them into pitches and potential ideas for motion pictures that flourish in this 4-week online course.
"Finding New Ideas" will begin its online workshop on June 17, 2009. The cost for this 4-week workshop is $275 and will cover such topics as:
- Where to find ideas;
- Developing the genre, logline, theme and hook;
- Structuring the idea in a 3-act structure;
- Things to think about before pitching idea.
All ESE FILM WORKSHOPS ONLINE courses have one-on-one interface with Edwards and Skerbelis! Therefore, students have ongoing access to these two industry professionals for the length of the courses, which usually runs 4 to 6 weeks each. ESE provides professional instruction in film without leaving your home. Offering user-friendly web access, students need only know how to "click, type, download and read."
