Scriptwriters Network is thrilled to present script consultant, Nicole Berger, teaching a special seminar titled “How to Make Any Story Funny.” At this fun and funny seminar, you’ll discover tools to bring out the potential hilarity in your storytelling by understanding and making use of: characters such as the Clueless Clown vs. the Mystified Nebbish and their relationship with the world; key differences between genres such as Dark Comedy and Dramady and how to strategize accordingly; andcomedic thru lines in dialogue, tone, situations and theme that can also save you when you’re stuck. Nicole Berger, AKA ScriptSlut, is a widely used script consultant and writer. Her hit comedy play, Yiddish She-Devil, featuring Ed Asner was chosen by reviewplays.com as a top favorite of 2005 and received rave reviews from Backstage West and the L.A.Weekly. She was a head reader for Feature Independent’s Filmmaker Labs and directed the First Glance Screenplay Competition for 2 years.
