What has everyone been up to?

Hi Everybody,

It has been sometime since we posted anything or had the opportunity to introduce ourselves. For those new to the group, we're pretty casual but I'm more than willing to open things up to new writers/filmmakers.

We can make this group whatever you want it to be. I am open to any suggestions.

Here's an update on what I've been up to lately. I would love to hear what others are writing, working on, etc.

I am currently in pre-production as the production manager for a sci-fi/action movie based on a role-playing game, called "Brave New World" (not to be confused w/ the Adolf Huxley novel). It is a game created by Matt Forbeck and produced by Reactor 88 Studios and Alderac Entertainment Group. The budget looks like it will be somewhere between the $30-45 Million range which is a medium-sized budget by today's standards. We will be shooting the entire film on the Red One camera, which will save a substantial amount in film costs. We're in the process of doing script breakdowns, talent attachment, etc. It will be a fun project to work on and will shoot exclusively in Chicago, hopefully around July 2008. Writing wise, I have been fleshing out some ideas for several scripts but haven't found the one that I want to focus the bulk of my attention on yet. I have written two screenplays, "Apprentice At War", a fantasy/adventure as well as "Becoming Shlomo", a dark, romantic comedy.
