Live Script acting?

I live in a small town in NY and would like to know if any of you Chicago screenwriters know of a place that holds live script reading/acting contests in your city?

There used to be a non-profit group called Chicago Scriptwriter's Showcase which sponsored a contest where actors would live act the winning screenplay. But I'm not sure if they exist anymore.

Haven't been able to find them. You may want to check Moviebytes.com to see if they know of anything about it. The owner of moviebytes, Frederick Mensch, is from the Chicago area.

There is a Chicago group called Chicago Scriptworks that does professional staged readings of your script if you win their contest. Check out chicagoscriptworks.com
