Has anyone had any luck going straight from thr novel directly to the film medium?
I'm still looking for a screenwriter.
HI
My name is Holly, I am about to try to do just that, pitch my book for adaptation to a film.
I intend to go to LA and tramp the streets to find the relevant contacts. Do you have any tips at all?
Holly
hi Holly, what's ur novel like. I wod like to go thru then give advise if u don't mind.
thanks
HI There
Oh any advice is warmly received. I have actually learnt quite a lot since making that initial post. The main thing being I dont have a prayer!
I had the impression that a very funny book would be snapped up if I were just able to find the right person to read it.
Anyway, like many other writer hopefuls, I will be in Hollywood/LA doing just that, actually will end up just being another tourist to a degree as I realised my timing is also off! Oops, my planning skills not as refined as my writing skills!
My book is "courtney J Webb - Immaculate Deception - a rather controversial comedy!
But any advice or knowlege you wish to give me I would be really most grateful.
Holly x
