Sophocles screenwriting software

Hi all, I downloaded and started using the Sophocles Beta version in Feb 2008 (right before Sophocles was abandoned that Spring). My copy was installed on my computer, and I copied the file onto flash drive. I love the Sophocles Beta version that I've used for the last 4 years. Unfortunately, my hard drive crashed this winter and I'm scrapping the computer, forced to buy a new one. I do have the copied Sophocles Beta file still on flash drive, but whenever I've tried to use it on other computers in the past, I've had problems. The formatting was buggy, and as I'm sure everyone knows you can't print from alternative computers. Help?

Hello All, I'm a long time paying Sophocles customer/user. I have Sophocles 2001, Soph 2003, Soph 2006, and Soph 2007. The video card on my laptop fried and I want to install Soph 2007 on a new laptop running Windows 7. I'm aware of MIA Tim Sheehan and the problems obtaining unlock codes; Yada, Yada, Yada, any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I found this link through a Google search and just signed up here. Peace to All, AZ

I'm one of the many having problems with Sophocles not being able to export or print. Does anyone have a solution?
Which version do you have, Mark?

Thanks, Brent. By the length of this thread I can see a lot of effort on your part. Very commendable and I truly appreciate it.
Glad I could help.
Hi Brent, I can't believe how helpful you've been here, I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm on the 2003 trial version, I like it, and I can't buy it. Is there anyway to unlock the export/print features? Thanks so much!! Best, Pat Corcoran

Happy to have found this site...at last! I too am one of those screenwriters who had Sophocles as my writing program. When we lost the ability to get reactivation codes, several projects came grinding to a halt. Every so often I search of the registry key/code...and this is the closest I could come. Is there anything I can do to get Sophocles back up and operating, if not to only retrieve copy/paste into my new program? (using Sophocles 2003)

Yes, follow Brent's instructions. I've gone through two computers since Sophocles disappeared and have been able to recover everything each time thanks to Brent! Just went and found his instructions again for this new laptop I'm on now. Talk about releif! LOL
Glad to have been of assistance. See you at the Oscars.
Brent, I have version 2.0.0.65 and still have print/export issues. Have they ever been resolved? Thanks!

Hello and boy am I glad to have found this thread... I'm another who had sent money to unlock Sophoclese many years ago and now would love to get it up and running on a new machine. It looks like you are the guy to go-to, Brent, any help would be fantastic for 2003 version. Thanks a million in advance! -Jason

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a few comedy sketches written in Sophocles - and have been able to ressurect 2003 and PM Beta from the remnants of my old machine. Is it possible to upgrade these to the point in which they work properly again? I did have the code a long time ago, but that was on the machine that died to a combination of virii, heatdeath and general overuse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks Brent, I shall make sure there's a character with your name on it if I can get these sketches sold. :)
Now be careful you don't jinx yourself. *snickers*
