Description

TERROR FILM FESTIVAL
Horror, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Thriller, Drama, Screenplay

Terror Film Festival is a week long, international independent film festival that's designed for filmmakers and screenwriters, and we treat our creative artists right. Ask any of them. TFF runs every October in the heart of Philadelphia PA at the prestigious and creepy Ethical Society Building (right across from beautiful Rittenhouse Square) and we offer over $10,000 in cash and prizes, ranging from our acclaimed Claw Awards to sweet, huggable cash. Plus, our world-class screenwriting competition!

Check our "Reviews" webpage to see what everyone’s saying about our festival!

TFF accepts both short and feature length films and scripts, and we offer filmmaker awards, screenwriting awards, Claw Awards, cash prizes, immediate cash discounts to Earlybird deadline submitters, and Free TFF Tee Shirts! All for our filmmakers and screenwriters. TFF is all about love of the crafts and our festival is committed to the filmmakers and screenwriters who bring these great genre movies to our world.

Submit your films and screenplays, and be part of this one-of-a-kind film festival!

TFF was founded by filmmakers and screenwriters and each year we offer an environment of creativity, networking, industry, fans, excitement, and fun. And our Claw Awards ceremony is excitement and anticipation personified, hosted by the sexy Princess Horror herself. It’s an event that you don’t want to miss!

Mark You Calendar NOW!

TFF knows the value of a good film and script, and we offer awards, cash prizes, and great experiences to prove it. Our festival is run like no other, because it’s geared to promote YOU. And we’re the only festival in the world who places your director photo, project poster, website link, and project synopsis on our website just for SUBMITTING a project. TFF pioneered the concept in 2006 and we’re proud to continue to offer it to our creative artists.

Tickets for TFF go on sale every February 14 (Valentine’s Day)!

TFF wants your film and screenplay to get attention, and for you to be recognized as the creative artist you are. Amateur, indie, or pro, TFF wants your film and screenplay to get recognition. Submit and be recognized, because it’s all about YOU!

Live your dreams!! Or at least...YOUR NIGHTMARES

Rules

SCREENPLAYS: We do not accept any form of electronic downloadable versions of your script. We only accept paper copies of your script. All short length screenplays must be 1-59 pages (not including cover page) and feature length screenplays must be 60-120 pages (not including cover page). All screenplays must be original or adapted works, and must be in english. Your screenplay(s) can be any genre to compete. We reward great writing for the sake of great writing and therefore do not obligate our writers to any specific genre. All pages must be bound together (no loose pages) with your contact info on the INSIDE first page (after the front cover). All screenplay front covers must contain ONLY the title of the script. If submitting through Withoutabox, please include a print out of your WAB application and include it in your submission mailing. Whether or not your screenplay has been produced or not will have no bearing on our selection decisions, but you must be legally authorized to represent the work.

FILMS: We do not accept any form of electronic downloadable versions of your film. We only accept NTSC DVD or VHS copies of your film. Please submit your film under whatever genre category you feel is appropriate to best highlight your film. For your convenience, TFF does not change your film submission category. TFF leaves your film submission in the category you have chosen (example: if you submit your film as a horror film, rest assured that it will be considered as a horror film). Also, if you submit online through withoutabox.com (WAB), please print out your WAB application and include it in your submission mailing. Short films must be 1-59 minutes, feature films must be 60-100 minutes. All films must be original or adapted works and your film must be in english, or subtitled and/or dubbed in english. If you submit a DVD, we suggest that you send a professionally mastered DVD version. But that does not mean it MUST be professionally mastered. We are just suggesting it. If not, then at least run your home-burned version over to your friend's house and TEST IT ON THEIR DVD PLAYER to make sure it works. Sometimes, home-burned DVDs don't work, and YOU are SOLELY RESPONSIBLE for TFF being able to play your DVD. Make sure your DVD works! TFF accepts DVD (NTSC, Regions 0, 1) and VHS (NTSC) pre-screener formats only. If your film is selected to screen, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to submit a working DVD exhibition copy to TFF by September 15th or we can use your pre-screener. Your choice. Also, in the pre-screening stage, it’s okay to send in a DVD that is hand written. No need to spend a lot of money unless you get selected. We don’t select our films based on the packaging. Whether or not your film has been produced or not will have no bearing on our selection decisions, but you must be legally authorized to represent the work.
