Is There really A Catch Twenty Two?

I was told that you must have a movie that the industry is interested in to get a deal? How do you actually get someone to look at your script you are an amature? I was once told that there is an industry rule! Don't evre give to a rookie! I know that all this is just a myth because no matter what a person will keep striving to get to the top! Ice Cube, john Singleton, Spike Lee, and many other directors have gone from acting to director. If any one dares to give a comment! I'm prepared, I know it's the elephant in the room!
