Writers' Store Instructor in Variety Today!

Hello Story-linkers,

Just thought I would share an article from today's Variety about one of my latest projects, Irreparable Harm:

"HBO develops 'Irreparable Harm'
Wigutow to write, Jarecki to direct CIA pic
By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER

Eugene Jarecki ("Why We Fight") will direct and exec produce the longform, which is based on the true story of Frank Snepp, the head of CIA's strategic analysis in Saigon during the Vietnam War.

Project follows Snepp as he returns to the U.S. after the fall of Saigon, conflicted over what had just happened. He ultimately decided to reveal the true story of the U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam.

The CIA objected to his decision to go public in the book "Decent Interval: An Insider's Account of Saigon's Indecent End, Told by the CIA's Chief Strategy Analyst in Vietnam."

Movie will be based on Snepp's second book, "Irreparable Harm: A Firsthand Account of How One Agent Took on the Agency in an Epic Battle Over Free Speech," which focused on his court battle with the CIA. Snepp is now a news producer at KNBC.

Spring Creek brought the project to HBO and will produce. Paula Weinstein is exec producer, along with Jarecki and Spring Creek's Palak Patel."

Hope you enjoyed the article. Also, congratulations to everyone involved in RECOUNT - including my company, Spring Creek, for NINE Emmy Nominations! We are all so proud.
